[Verse 1]
You said misused independence
We were envious souls of God
So from spiritual world here banished
Until purify one’s existence
[Verse 2]
Identified souls as fallen
Evidenced everyone must die
Compromise for being eternal
Argued proof that we don’t belong here
[Chorus]
See divinity explored
Divine expressed
Question would you mislead us
Reason we take birth on Earth?
[Verse 3]
Some wonder did you white-lie us
Neophyte limit justified
Because truth beyond comprehension
To motivate cultivate faith?
[Repeat Chorus]
[Verse 4]
Distributed Back to Godhead
Said nobody once there returns
Contradiction for those dare admit
Explanation said unimportant
[Repeat Chorus]
[Spoken Word]
Is it possible that a deeper truth might be discouraging rather than inspiring and liberating for someone early in their journey of spiritual awakening? Perhaps better therefore to simply talk in terms that they can understand … even if it means a white lie or two … for example ‘three into one won’t go’.
[Instrumental]
[Repeat Verse 1]
