Mind you I have been cultivating prejudice against evolution theory for the past 40+ years … so I’m hardly objective. Same time, honestly I don’t find random mutation in the brain a persuasive explanation for the existence of homo sapiens. For me that’s a little like explaining evolution of the motor car without reference to the desires of driver-market and the people designing cars to meet that market. As the driver is the active principle for the car, so the soul is to the body. And though I use the ‘soul’ word, this is not about religion, but about how you think your desires contribute to the situation you presently find yourself in … the type of car you drive … if you know what I mean.
