[Spoken 1]
How do you explain suffering and pain? Is it definitely negative? Are you looking for some one to blame, assign fault, finger point, scape goat … are you determined to follow that road? If so, is it your fault, someone else’s fault, or do you think God is implicated in some way?

[Chorus]
Not a blade of grass moves
Without the sanction wand of God
Outside a plan divine designed
Against the will of God obliged

[Spoken 2]
How do you explain suffering and pain? Are you prepared to rethink? Could it serve you in some way to believe it is against your will imposed? Has there ever been a time were something terrible set the stage for something beautiful … even though that was hard to imagine such a future while in the throes of suffering.

[Chorus]

[Spoken 3]
How do you explain suffering and pain? Do you think of it in terms of bad karma? … as if karma is about reaction rather than action … that in the past you transgressed some perhaps-imaginary prescribed law of acceptable behaviour? Do you think God makes such laws? If so, how comfortably does that sit with the notion of your self-divinity? Simultaneous oneness with / difference from God. Bit at odds with the oneness side I would venture.

[Chorus]
