[Spoken 1]
I see myself as a soul with a body. Like a driver of a car. An eternal being taking birth to take part in a cosmic exploration and expression of divinity. Like an actor in a play, contributing to an ever expanding completeness in God’s own experiential self-knowing. Dad, that’s just crazy talk you say.
[Chorus]
It doesn’t mean I love you less
Just because say stage is set
Just because preach life is role play
I am not my body
Doesn’t mean I love you less
[Spoken 2]
Getting to play the role of your father is the greatest blessing in my life. I believe it’s by divine arrangement that we are brought together. That our paths cross. But as eternal beings I am ultimately neither really your father, nor you my son. Dad, that makes me feel sad you say.
[Chorus]
[Spoken 3]
I don’t believe in evolution, at least not in terms of random DNA copy errors that happen to produce bodies better suited to a given environment. Like a motor car doesn’t automatically evolve … there are market researchers and designers, and they consciously respond to changes in driver preferences. Dad, that’s just crazy talk you say.
[Chorus]
[Spoken 4]
The Beatles are the best band ever … music today is mostly created by formula and committees. People are slave to their mobile devices, addicted to shallow life validation … trading like for likes where neither party is really interested in the other. Dad, that’s just more crazy talk you say.
[Instrumental]
[Chorus]
